"My World and Welcome to It: Finding the Authentic in Regional Design" by Victoria Price
hosted by SCAD Atlanta

What is regional design?
Designer Victoria Price contends that it is the confluence of personal history, regional tastes and values, and popular culture. In short, it is how we live and have been taught to see. Growing up in Hollywood as the daughter of a movie star/art collector father and a costume and later architectural designer mother, Victoria learned to see the world through their eyes. But she also was profoundly influenced by the place in which she lived–the West. Price's lecture on regional design draws deeply from her personal design history and lineage in bringing to light regional design as the nexus of meaningful and authentic design.

When: Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 7:00PM-8:00PM (ET)
Where: Events Space, 4th floor, Building C, SCAD-Atlanta, 1600 Peachtree Street (Atlanta,GA)
